Hello and thanks for stopping by!  So, a little bit about who I am.  I was raised in the town of Hoosick Falls, NY and I have been singing songs and playing music in front of people in Upstate New York and Vermont since the age of 5.  I got my start was singing in the local church’s children’s choir my parents directed.  I knew at the age of 5, singing in front of the congregation, that this is something that I like to do…REALLY like to do.  When I was around 8 years old, my two younger brothers and I began singing several songs a gig with our parent’s band.  We would sing bluegrass and folk songs by Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch and even some tunes from the “Oh Brother Where Art Thou” soundtrack.  When I moved into middle school I started taking guitar lessons and soon found out about the Man in Black, Johnny Cash.  I couldn’t get enough of him.  My father would chuckle watching his husky 6th grade son sing songs about love, heartache, drugs and guns.  Songs like “Home of the Blues,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Ring of Fire,” and “A Boy Named Sue” became some of my favorites to perform and had a tremendous influence on the musician I am today.

When I entered High school our family decided to come together and create the Brewster Family Band, which still performs today!  The band consists of my mother Cindy, my father Mike and my two younger brothers Matt and Levi.  Since the formation of the group we have played gigs all over the capital region (Albany Area) of New York State.  We have played weddings, churches, memorials, bars, parks, fundraisers and public/private parties.

I decided to continue my education at St. Lawrence University where I earned a double major in Music and Communications.  In college, my music horizons expanded with all the great opportunities and diversity of people I met.  I was able to direct a student run acapella group, perform in several university run ensembles, and play music with other SLU students.  I also played in a Blues/Rock Trio called Chief Sif and the Brewster Brothers.  Playing with this band gave me a great appreciation for blues legends such as B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Gary Clark Jr.  The four years I spent at St. Lawrence University provided me with a wealth of musical knowledge and a desire to keep playing music.

Right now I find myself in Burlington, Vermont.  I’ve been playing gigs in both Vermont and the capital region of New York State.  I’m a singer songwriter rooted in the Blues/Rock/Folk/Country genres who is always looking to play music!

Thanks for taking a look at my website and enjoy the music!
